1966 May 16th 1966. The certificate of incorporation of IMEAS "Industria Macchine Ed Attrezzature Speciali" is signed.
1967 IMEAS starts the production of the first calibrating/sanding machine for panels and the study of the first wide-belt grinding machine for metals
1970 Creation of the industrial complex in Villa Cortese (Milano).
Avesta Pres Plates (Sweden), now Outokumpu Press Plates, receives the first grinding machine for press plates. Updated in 2001 this machine is still in service.
1975 IMEAS enters the field of "metal surface finishing" and becomes a technological leader in this sector
1977 First expansion of the industrial complex and the office block.
1980 First grinding machine for stainless steel belts closed to form a ring, future technological core of the modern continuous presses for MDF/HDF and chip board panels
1986 New expansion to foreign markets; soon the turnover for sales In foreign countries will reach 80% (with peaks of 98%) of the overall turnover.
1990 Establishment of IMEAS Australasia (Victoria, Australia), first foreign company of the group
1996 Reorganization of the industrial area with the construction of a new building of 2000 m² exclusively for the mounting and testing of machines and plants.
1998 Expansion of the office block to reach the present 700 m².
1999 Establishment of IMEAS Inc., with seat in Peachtree City (GA), USA.
2002 Creation of the Italian-Chinese joint venture IMEAS Sanding Manufacturing (Suzhou), Ltd. with seat in Suzhou, P.R. China.
2005 Mr Franco Zenere, CEO of IMEAS since 1986, becomes President of IMEAS spa.
