IMEAS  spa, Italy, is proud to announce the successful startup and commissioning of its ParticleBoard  sanding line installed in Masisa Ponta Grossa, Parana, Brasil. The acceptance took place on June 24, 2009.

The line consists of 8 sanding units arranged in two groups of four contact rolls and four platens  each. The line is able to process boards wide up to 2900 mm  and with a  thicknesses  that can span from 6,0 up to 30,0 mm. Lower thicknesses are also possible.

The design of the sanding equipment, which is based on our provenSuperPerformance™ technology,  features a maximum sanding speed of 100 meters/min, sturdy frames, well balanced roll for no-vibrations, high-power/width ratio for high speed sanding, a very stable and well-controlled abrasive belt  and optimized exhaust air consumption.
