The IMEAS CrossSander (CR-TB) is particularly advisable for MDF/HDF and Chipboard panels that are then bound to be varnished, painted or coated with light melamine papers.

The underneath concept consists into cutting - crosswise with respect to the feeding direction - the “micro-peaks” that are part of the normal roughness of standard wood-based panel, thus considerably reducing it and to obtaining a more homogeneous, consistent surface.

By implementing CrossSander (CR-TB) machines in a sanding line, Customers can benefit from:

  • Feeding speed of up to 150 m/min
  • Sanding speed of up to 70 m/min
  • A homogeneous, consistent surface
  • Chatter-free surface thanks to the Slide Pad System
  • Very precise board calibration with accuracy of ±0,05 mm even at the higher speeds
  • High availability and reliability for 24x7 continuous operation
  • Perfect control of the abrasive belt for increased performances and durability
  • ShockAbsorption™ system on all feeding rolls for improved feeding and board stability during the process
  • Standard abrasive belt length of 3200 mm on all working units
  • Adjustable belt tracking photocells position for different abrasive belts widths
  • Bearing temperature monitoring system with alarm interface
  • Centralized lubrication circuit for minimal maintenance
  • Wide screen with touch panel graphical user interface
