PL, The versatile film laminating machines to protect surfaces

IMEAS PL machines are designed to cover with a plastic film a polished/brushed surface in order to protect it from dust, scratches and damages that can occur during handling and forming operations.

All the PL coating machines can be fully integrated with other IMEAS solutions, such as the "AT" family of polishing and brushing machines. It is also possible to install them into existing lines, produced by IMEAS as well as other OEMs. The PL machines are actually available in three flavours:

• PL-TM is a manual operated machine suitable for simple sheet-to-sheet lines and ideal for coil-to-coil lines. The protective film is cut by the operator.
• PL-TA is equipped with vertical-moving blade and an electronic positioning system to cut the PVC film in fully automated sheet-to-sheet lines.
• PL-TZ uses the IMEAS patented TZ Blade™ to achieve a "zero-overlap" cut. This machine is especially useful when the metal sheets have to be processed by automatic handling and forming systems.

IMEAS PL series distinguish from others machines of this kind, because of:

• Integrated OP270 operator panel (PL-TA and PL-TZ only)
• IMEAS patented TZ Blade™ for non-overlapping film cutting (PL-TZ only)
• Braking system for variation of film tension
• Chromed, steel roll for PVC film tensioning
• Motorized top multi reel-holding device with up to 5 reels
• Bottom coating and motorized bottom multi reel-holding device with up to 4 reels
• Long-life grease lubricated bearings
• Alignment of the film with the coil position (only on PL-TM coil version)
• Integrated exhaust system (3.000 m3/h) for film strip removal (PL-TZ only)
• Integrated safety systems
