SuperMirror™ PMC

The IMEAS SuperMirror™ machine model PMC combines high productivity with an homogeneous and non-directional surface finish (some times referred to as "Super No.8"), which is characterized by:

• high reflectivity (>80° Gloss)
• low roughness (Ra<0,05 micron).

The process is carried out by means of a suitable activated solution distributed on the surface to be treated through special rotating buffing "pads". A filtration system (optional) recovers the polishing compound and filters it from the metal particles removed during the process then the clean liquid is resent to the machine. A washing and drying unit (optional) allows preparing the surface of the sheet for further coating with protective film.

In the PMC model the feeding of the working piece is achieved through a conveyor belt: this results in a higher productivity as well as a very compact and spce-saving design.

The SuperMirror™ PMC is specifically designed for cold rolled sheets and coils and it is presently available in width 1600 mm. Standard features include:

• Selection of the number of spindles to be used, to fit the actual working width

The following are the key technical data for typical configurations. Other configurations are available on request.

* Sheet/plates must be flat to achieve optimal results. BA stainless steel is suggested for optimal productivity.
