Test and simulation

We perform tests and simulations on materials such as steel, wood, rubber and plastic, simulating machining operations such as grinding, honing and polishing. We provide a detailed technical report to optimize your production.

IMEAS offers its customers a free testing system with which it is possible to verify and evaluate both the work possibilities and the final results obtainable from our solutions.

After the definition of the type of analysis to be performed, the tests are carried out by experienced IMEAS personnel and in the presence of the Customer.

Types of tests

Simulation of working conditions with IMEAS

The IMEAS test facility is designed and built to be flexible, and therefore a large number of working conditions can be simulated, including:

  • Calibrating and sanding
  • Grinding/cleaning
  • Brushing (ScotchBrite)
  • “Directional” mirror polishing (buffing)
  • “Non-directional” mirror polishing (SuperMirror)
  • Dry processing
  • Wet processing with water, emulsion or mineral oil
Testing materials

We carry out numerous tests on a variety of materials.

Materials that can be tested include:

  • Stainless and carbon steel
  • Titanium and Aluminum Alloys
  • Special alloys (ferrous and nonferrous)
  • Wood and its derivatives
  • Rubber and its compounds
  • Plastic, acrylic, composites in general
  • Fiber cement

…As well as practically everything proposed by our Clients.

Reporting

Test results: optimal configuration and budget

At the end of the testing session, a comprehensive report combined with the analysis of the processed samples allows the optimal configuration of the production line to be defined and the corresponding investment budget to be drawn up.

Technical reports include:

  1. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples to be examined, surface condition, thickness, flatness, roughness, etc.
  2. List of tests performed
  3. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the tests conducted
  4. Production line configuration tips
