EvoL-CR, cross sanders for wood-based panels
IMEAS’ EvoL-CR is the cross sander designed to increase the surface quality of MDF, HDF and chipboard panels, making them ideal for subsequent painting or coating processes. Easily integrated into new or existing lines, the EvoL-CR applies abrasive action perpendicular to the direction of panel feed, improving visual uniformity and reducing surface roughness.
Key Features
- Active cross sanding-The sanding belt operates in the direction orthogonal to the flow of the panels for a uniform finish.
- Reduced roughness and finishing costs – Smoother surface = less paint, less solvents, more sustainability.
- Chevron belt system – Stability of the abrasive belt and better distribution of sanding pressure throughout the process.
- Fast, motorized belt change – Integrated trolley for fast replacements and minimal downtime.
- Sturdy industrial structure-CNC-machined electrowelded steel frame, sandblasted and painted.
- Compatibility with Industry 4.0 – Ready for FCS™ systems, remote control, remote diagnostics and ERP integration.
Product Description.
The EvoL-CR cross sander was developed by IMEAS to meet the needs of manufacturers who focus on superior surface quality. By sanding panels in a direction perpendicular to the feed, the machine eliminates micro-wrinkles and unevenness left by longitudinal sanding, making the surface ideal for UV coating, melamine coating or matte/gloss lacquering.
The heart of the EvoL-CR is one or two heads equipped with abrasive belts supported by a chevron belt, supported by a highly rigid mechanical structure. The integrated motorized carriage enables quick belt changes without complex disassembly, drastically reducing downtime.
With its modular architecture and advanced control systems, the machine can be easily integrated into EvoL lines or other continuous sanding lines, improving aesthetic performance and reducing operating costs.
